Raising the bar for BU
Parents are integral members of the Boston University community, and their involvement with BU makes a world of difference. Whether they choose to fund scholarships, support academics, or build connections, it all helps advance the University’s Strategic Plan.
If you’d like to increase your impact as a parent, we invite you to join the Parents Council, a community of parents who are helping to shape the future of BU. Parents Council members demonstrate their commitment to Boston University through meaningful support that strengthens the University, advances its mission, and makes a difference in the lives of students.
A deeper level of engagement
Parents who make annual gifts totaling $10,000 or more to Boston University are recognized as members of the Parents Council, with no separate application or invitation required.
Parents Council members are part of a community of families who share a strong commitment to BU and its students. Throughout the year, members may have opportunities to connect with fellow BU parents and participate in select events and programs both on campus and in their communities.
What Parents Council members do
Parents Council members play an important role in strengthening the Boston University community. They:
- Support the University with an annual gift of $10,000 or more.
- Engage with the BU community through select events, programs, and opportunities throughout the year.
- Connect with fellow parents and families in Boston and around the world.
- Champion Boston University and the important role philanthropy plays in advancing its mission.
