What are the aspects of BU that you are most proud of/regularly tell your non-BU friends about?
BU has a really good community. It’s very diverse and I really like that. What’s more, BU is a really flexible school in terms of major choice. It’s so easy for you to change your major or add a minor.
What is your favorite piece of BU history?
BU chose the terrier as its mascot because the breed was first bred in the United States in 1869.
How have you changed since your first day on campus?
I have learned how to organize my time better. Classwork is stressful, but there is so much going on in Boston and on campus. With more freedom in college, I learned how to do time management better, allowing myself to be able to go to fun events around Boston and finish homework.
What made you choose Boston University?
I wanted a city school for college, so I can meet more people and have more opportunities. Coming in as a School of General Studies student, I also really appreciated the small class sizes. Each of my classes included a discussion section with fewer than 20 students, nurturing an environment where everyone has the opportunity to speak their thoughts and opinions. This setup also facilitates close relationships with professors, leading to stronger bonds both with them and my peers. I enjoy interacting with peers from various countries and cultural backgrounds every single day and hearing their unique perspectives.
