Recorded: November 28, 2017
Amy Baltzell (Wheelock’96,’99) Clinical Associate Professor, shares ways that mindfulness can empower you in performance (and all parts of your life). As President of the Association of Applied Sport Psychology, editor of Mindfulness & Performance and author of the soon to be released book The Power of Mindfulness, Professor Baltzell offers a core understanding of mindfulness, some ways to cultivate a mindful approach to performance (through meditation paired with other informal practices) and a case example that highlights the power of a mindful approach to performance (it cultivates poise, concentration, and flexibility!).
