Clinical Centers
Staffed with experienced clinicians, specialists, and practicing faculty members, Sargent College Clinical Centers offer a variety of services for Boston University students as well as the greater Boston community ranging from physical rehabilitation to athletic enhancement. In these centers, students may develop their skills in a supervised on-campus setting or participate as work-study aides.
Aphasia Resource Center
The Aphasia Resource Center at Boston University aims to:
- provide a supportive environment in which persons living with aphasia, their families, and their friends can share experiences
- provide recreational and educational resources
- educate members about local and national resources
- educate the broader Boston community about aphasia and related disorders
Athletic Enhancement Center
The Athletic Enhancement Center’s complete athlete approach helps Boston’s youth, collegiate and adult athletes maximize their performance.
The Center for Neurorehabilitation
Established in 2001, the Center for Neurorehabilitation houses research, educational and clinical activities serving individuals with a variety of neurological diagnoses.
Nutrition & Fitness Center
Offering individual and group nutrition and fitness programs, as well as health screenings, fitness evaluations and workshops, The BU Nutrition & Fitness Center helps clients make the right diet and fitness choices for a healthier life.
Physical Therapy Center
Located in the new Ryan Center for Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Fitness and Recreation Center, the BU Physical Therapy Center helps people with injuries return to their previous activity level as rapidly as possible. Whether that involves training for a marathon, working on a computer or simply being able to pick up their young child without pain, our progressive sports medicine styled approach starts them on the right track to achieve their goals.
Speech, Language & Hearing Center
The Boston University Speech, Language and Hearing Center provides a low cost alternative for speech and language evaluations and therapy in the Boston community. Comprehensive evaluations and/or therapy services are provided for individuals with communication difficulties including:
Vocational Rehabilitation Center
The Vocational Rehabilitation Center provides vocational evaluation, return-to-work planning, and rehabilitation services and consultation to workers and employers. These services are offered to individuals whose functional limitations interfere with their vocational opportunities.
