    Moby Dick thought he met his match with Captain Ahab, but then Ahab’s wife arrived. The Journey is an imaginative and original physical performance that celebrates empowerment, overcoming fear, and highlights the tenacity of the human spirit. Show runs April 19th-22nd.

  • 12:30 PM Collaborative Performances by CFA Theatre Ensemble

    All semester in CFA’s Theatre Ensemble 1 course, first-year Performance Core and Design & Production students have been working together to create a collaborative performance piece. Catch their performances throughout the afternoon! Section A will present from 12:30pm to 1:15pm in CFA Room 102; Section B from 1:30pm to 2:15pm in CFA Room 109; and Section C from 2:30pm to 3:15pm in the Plaza in front of Booth Theatre (or in event of bad weather, Room 270A in 808 Commonwealth).

  • All Day IDEA 2018: The Innovate@BU Conference

    Exploring Innovation through Design, Education and Activation. IDEA 2018: The Innovate@BU Conference is a one-day event for BU students to explore innovation of every kind, including enterprise, social impact, arts, and culture. From start to finish, students will be inspired by world-class innovators, engage with strategies and tools for developing new ideas, and connected with resources throughout BU and Boston that can help them transform ideas into impact. The conference is split up into two sections. All-Day Tickets: Limited quantity (180) and includes the morning session workshops, lunch, innovation resource workshops, keynote speaker, and networking mixer. Afternoon Tickets: Includes the keynote speaker and networking mixer. (150 tickets available).

  • 5:30 PM The Art of Storytelling in Entrepreneurship

    Creating and telling your life story is an ongoing process, it is not a one time marketing event. This skill requires you to re-visit and rethink the image you broadcast into the world. This image that you think you portray in addition to what others say about you makes up your personal brand. So wherever you are in this process of developing your own story, this workshop will unveil what your action items are to take you where you need to go next. The world is waiting to hear your story... are you ready to share it?

  • 5:00 PM Solveathon with MIT

    Solve is an initiative of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) that identifies and supports lasting solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges. Each year, Solve issues challenges around its four pillars: learning, health, sustainability, and economic prosperity, then invites anyone the world-over to submit solutions. During the Solveathon you will: Participate in an ideate, research, refinement and prototpyong session to develop solutions to Solve's annual challenges. You'll have fun while you: Form and reshape ideas Evaluate and iterate on designs Pitch your idea and potentially submit it the larger Solve competition Eat pizza and connect with other passionate problem solvers!

    Are you an aspiring entrepreneur without US citizenship? Do you want to stay in the US to start your own venture but don't know how to? Do you want to better understand how your company can get venture capital funding? Come learn about Unshackled, a Silicon Valley-based pre-seed fund investing in immigrant founders and international students.

    In this workshop, you will learn the fundamentals of validating and refining an idea. Did you work on a great project in class or a side project? Are you working on solving a problem around you? Use those ideas in this workshop for further ideation exploration!
