*  When possible, the following courses should be completed in the first two semesters: AR 690 The Art World and AR778 Legal Issues in Arts Administration.

†  AR802 is usually taken in the next-to-last semester of study and AR803 in the final semester. Students must have completed 24 credits prior to taking AR803. For information on course waivers, please visit the AR802 Course Info site. 

‡  International Travel Study courses are optional for international students.

††  AR 690 The Art World is a prerequisite for AR771 Managing Performing Arts Organizations, AR774 Managing Visual Arts Organizations, AR720 Marketing and Audience Development, AR780 Arts in Cuba, and AR787 The Arts in Barcelona.

‡‡  Students must have completed 24 credits and have two years full-time work experience in the arts prior to taking AR804. AR804 may be substituted for AR802/803 with advisor’s permission and four years' full-time work experience in the field.

§§  Written approval of advisor and experience in Art History required.

◊  Students may take either AR774 or AH520, but not both.

~  Day courses and CAS courses may be more expensive.
