Hee Ju Lee holds a PhD in Korean Linguistics and MA in Applied Linguistics/TESOL from University of California, Los Angeles. Before joining Boston University, she taught (non)-heritage Korean language and linguistics courses at UCLA. Her research interests include discourse analysis, second/heritage language learning and pedagogy, corpus linguistics, and intonation/pronunciation.
Hee Ju teaches Korean language and content courses at all levels at BU. She has recently developed third- and fourth-year content courses including Korean for the Professions, Korean through Popular Music, and Korean Conversation and Discourse.
