WLL Senior Seminar Presentations (12/7 and 12/8)
Please join us next Tuesday and Wednesday as seniors majoring in WLL present their Capstone Projects to the WLL community. As you can see from the titles below, the projects reflect the rich diversity of languages and literary cultures that we study in WLL. The theme of this year’s senior seminar (XL 479) is “life writing,” and many of the projects tackle the challenge of how to capture a person in words. Some of the projects take the form of academic essays, others are translations with critical introductions, and some students have tried their hands at writing fictional or semi-fictional works.
The presentations will take place over two days, next Tuesday and Wednesday. Please join us in CAS 306 for as many of them as your time allows.
I want especially to encourage those of you who are WLL majors to attend so that you can start thinking about your own future capstone projects.
Hope to see many of you next week!
Professor Vincent
