LR 303 Students Translate Excerpts at Culture Pass Event

On October 24th, the event – Leningrad Blockade Diary – sponsored by the Sapiro Academic Enhancement Fun and DTP Fund took place at Mugar Memorial Library. The event was dedicated to Russian Ballerina and author Tamara Bogdanova.
Students in LR 303 translated the excerpts from the Leningrad Blockade Diary and performed their own translations before sixty people.
The Leningrad Blockade Diary Culture Pass Event was a reading by Tamara Bogdanova, ballerina and blockade survivor. Live musical excerpts were performed by Maria Lyudko, Alan Starovoitov and Aleksandr Kushnarev. Moderated by Dr. Ludmilla Leibman.
The event was presented by the Russian Language Program in BU’s Department of World Languages & Literatures.
