New Sanskrit Course Offering

**This is a Directed Study but will be conducted as a normal course for Fall 2017**

Sanskrit is an ancient Indo-European language, related to classical Greek, Latin, and Persian, and the original language of several Asian religions and literatures. It continues to influence world languages. Discover the fascinating roots of yoga, Indian philosophy, and South Asian cultures through this introductory course in Sanskrit. Learn the fundamentals of the Devanagari script, Sanskrit vocabulary, syntax, and grammar in order to prepare you for reading “real” Sanskrit texts.
