Doctoral Student

Caitríona Taylor is a doctoral student in Higher Education Leadership at BU Wheelock, where her scholarly interests focus on shared governance, student well-being, and data-informed organizational change within higher education. She currently serves as Executive Director of Physical Education, Recreation & Dance (PERD) at Boston University, overseeing FitRec’s operations and strategy, managing employees and program space that serve over 1 million annual visitors. Taylor’s leadership spans campus recreation, athletics, non-profit, and government work, including strategic planning and fiscal/operational management, student employment and leadership development, partnerships with public safety and IT, and equity-centered wellness programming.

She previously led recreation at MIT and Boston College, served as CEO of Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts, and directed several Massachusetts state boards, including Public Accountancy, Massage Therapy, and Veterinarian Boards. She currently serves on the NIRSA Services Corporation Board, providing strategic direction for revenue generation in higher education recreation.
