The High Stakes of Performance

The High Stakes of Performance
2024 BU Wheelock Forum explores how to support individuals and teams in attaining their full potential
When individuals, teams, and systems are operating at their best, they can seem to perform and deliver effortlessly. But when they fail to thrive, we can quickly see the negative impact on issues such as quality of work, individual and team morale, and productivity.
The 2024 BU Wheelock Forum explored issues related individual human development, high-performing teams, and equitable and thriving systems. Participants in this year’s Forum—titled Thriving Individuals, Teams, and Systems—discussed questions such as, How do high-performing individuals prepare mentally for high-stakes situations? And how can we optimize systems to promote well-being and excellence?
The Forum is presented annually by BU Wheelock. This year’s event was co-hosted by the Performance Recovery & Optimization (PRO) Lab, directed by BU Wheelock associate professor Edson Filho.
