Transfer External Credits

Please be aware that credits are transferred at a 1:1 rate, i.e.: a 3-credit course taken at another institution will only transfer into BU for 3-credits. Additionally, please note that Boston University uses the semester system; if courses are taken at an institution that operates on the trimester or quarter system, credits will be transferred based on the semester hours spent on the course, i.e.: a 4-credit class taken at an institution using the quarter system would transfer into BU at 2.66-credits, based on the number of semester hours spent on the class.
