J. Keith Vincent is an Associate Professor of Japanese & Comparative Literature and Women’s, Gender & Sexuality Studies and Convener of Japanese Language. His studies are focused on how genders inform genres, how sexuality shapes storytelling, and how great novels and poems emerge. In Vincent’s most recent work, he launched a website with the help of UROP student translators creating an interactive space for students to engage with poems from the 11th century Japanese masterpiece, the Tale of Genji by the premier Japanese poet, Lady Murasaki.
