Volunteer Basis, Potential for Academic Credit
Overview
Dr. Rob Martinelle of Wheelock is seeking several volunteers to help with transcription work on studies within the realm of social studies education and teacher education more broadly; The UROP students would be involved in transcribing data (interviews), where they will listen to an audio file and write down the dialogue as text. This would require about 3-4 hours of work a week. No experience with educational research necessary. However, ability to type relatively quickly is a plus. UROP students may also choose to get credit through a directed study, where they would use the data to create a research paper. If interested, please message Dr. Rob Martinelle at robm@bu.edu. Include in the message a list of days/times you are available for a Zoom meeting.
