Overview
We are a neuroepigenetics lab at Boston University School of Medicine (Mews Lab, themewslab.com) seeking motivated undergraduate students to join our team for the Fall 2025 semester. Our research investigates how metabolism influences gene expression programs in the brain, with implications for memory, neuroplasticity, and substance use disorders.
Undergraduate Research Assistants will work closely with graduate students and postdoctoral fellows to gain hands-on laboratory experience, including:
– Mouse colony management (handling, breeding, and behavioral assays)
– Basic molecular biology techniques (DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, Western blotting, etc.)
– Exposure to cutting-edge neuroepigenetics research in a collaborative team environment
This position is ideal for students interested in gaining long-term research experience, especially those considering graduate or medical school.
