Options 

Volunteer Basis, Potential for UROP Funding, Potential for Work Study Funding 

Overview 

I am looking for up to two undergraduate research assistants to assist with research on United Kingdom CPI inflation using the monthly micro survey data from which it is constructed by the Office of National Statistics. Exact responsibilities will depend on student background and project needs. 

Applicants must  

  • Be a current student in Economics or Data Science 
  • Be a sophomore or junior 
  • Commit to 10 weekly hours for AY 26-27 
  • Have experience using R, Matlab, Python and Stata, as well as being comfortable using GitHub and standard research/code workflows. 
  • Have prior research experience such as a UROP, internship or project 
  • Be adept at working independently and in small groups. 
  • Write clearly, compactly, and effectively  

The project will involve: 

  • Weekly check-ins and progress reports. 
  • Production of well-documented research code
