Overview
The Wei Lab in the Department of Medicine, Section of Nephrology (Evans Biomedical Research Center, 650 Albany St., Floor 5) is seeking motivated undergraduate students interested in long-term, intensive, hands-on research experience in a collaborative and supportive environment.
The lab focuses on understanding cardiovascular diseases, including hypertension, pre-eclampsia and cardiorenal syndrome, using rodent models. Following initial training, students who demonstrate strong performance will have the opportunity to lead an individual research project and contribute to meeting abstracts and publications.
The Wei Lab has a strong record of undergraduate success. In 2025, one student was invited to give an oral presentation and received the New Investigator Travel Award at the American Heart Association Conference, and another student won 2nd place in the basic science oral presentation competition at Evans Days.
Interested applicants should contact Vivikta Rao (vrao@bu.edu) for more information. Selected candidates will be invited for an interview.
