Overview

Building and evaluating AI agents for spatial omics data analysis

Our lab is developing AI agents for spatial omics data analysis, along with rigorous evaluation frameworks to measure its performance, reliability, and accuracy. The student will help build tools that enable the agent to perform spatial omics analyses and develop benchmarks and evaluation tests that assess how well the agent performs on real analysis tasks. In addition, we are also exploring new directions to make these tools more stable, accurate, and cost-effective in the growing field of spatial data analysis.

Qualifications: Familiarity with (spatial) data analysis, R, and omics is a major plus, along with a strong interest and foundation in understanding of AI agents and evaluation frameworks.

Time commitment: Approximately 10 hours per week. This position can be remote or in person.

Compensation: This position begins on a volunteer basis, with potential for co-authorship and future funding.

To apply: Email Dr. Dries with a brief statement of interest and your resume/CV.
