COVID-19 Protocols

We cannot be more excited to welcome you all to Boston University as part of your Orientation experience. In an attempt to make this event as safe as possible for the Boston University community, Orientation will align with Boston University’s policies around COVID-19. Please review the Student Health Services website for the most up to date information regarding University standards. Do not hesitate to contact us with any questions ahead of time!

COVID-19 Vaccine/Booster Requirement

In order to be eligible to register for Orientation, students must be compliant with Boston University’s COVID-19 vaccine/booster requirements (booster requirement based off of when you completed your vaccination). Once new students have created their BU email account, they should immediately upload their compliance documentation to Student Health Services. After receiving confirmation of compliance with the COVID-19 vaccine/booster requirements, please allow three business days for access to be granted before attempting to register for Orientation.

A COVID-19 Vaccine Extension process is available for international students who are unable to receive the required COVID-19 vaccine doses in their home country before arriving at BU. Please go to the SHS COVID-19 Vaccination – Upload Documentation webpage, which provides students with COVID-19 vaccine upload, exemption and extension instructions.
