Teaching Writing in Core
Through a program of elective interdisciplinary learning with a common curriculum, Core Curriculum students and faculty engage with foundational texts and inquiry that frame each academic discipline in CAS. Faculty teach in in the program from across CAS and writing is taught through the lens of our common curriculum. The program offers classes that provide Hub Units in First-Year Writing Seminar (CC 101); Writing, Research, & Inquiry (CC 201); and Writing Intensive (CC102, CC221, CC202). Core also hosts a number of Graduate Writing Fellows each year to foster undergraduate student writing and introduce graduate students to writing pedagogy in this foundational curriculum.
