CGS
The Rhetoric Division in the College of General Studies teaches students the “crucial ability to communicate and persuade.” It does so in a number of courses, including RH 103, which provides students with two Hub units (First-Year Writing Seminar; Digital/Multimedia Expression), and RH 104, which carries two different Hub units (Writing, Research, & Inquiry; Oral and/or Signed Communication).
KHC
In the Kilachand Honors College, students in their first year take two seminars from an array of options in which they intensively explore contemporary political, literary, biomedical, public health, engineering, or artistic questions. KHC students take in parallel to the seminars first-year writing Studios that involve textual analysis, composition, revision, research, and oral communication.
