BU Choral Showcase - Dreams, Passions, & Words of Fire

Featuring Monteverdi & Schütz’s deeply impassioned madrigals and motets, the fervent texts from Morten Lauridsen’s Six Fire Madrigals, and Eric Whitacre’s imaginative Leonardo Dreams of His Flying Machine, the program showcases the power of poetry, passion, and dreams through an afternoon of choral music. At its heart is Leonard Bernstein’s vibrant Missa Brevis alongside works from Randall Thompson, William Dawson, Shawn Kirchner, Ola Gjeilo, Andrea Ramsey, and more. This event is free and open to the public.
