Bio: Sarah’s research explores dimensions of human innovation, examining how we relate to our own scientific and technological creations. Drawing on 19th and 20th century philosophy, psychoanalysis, and her background in computer science, she investigates questions at the intersection of philosophy of technology, media theory, and philosophy of science. Her most recent work analyzes Freud’s response to emerging innovations of his era—embedded within his critique of religion—to illuminate parallels with our current relationship to technology.
