BU Law welcomes employers from all sectors to campus to meet with our students, providing ample opportunities for networking and engagement throughout the year. We’re proud to foster a culture that encourages our students to initiate dialogues with employers, learn about specific practice areas, and become familiar with your hiring practices. We invite you to participate in a variety of events, from formal presentations and receptions to small group and individual advising sessions.
In-Person Coffee and Snack Breaks
Offered weekly throughout the fall and spring semesters, employer-sponsored Coffee and Snack Breaks will provide you with the opportunity to meet BU Law students and discuss career opportunities in an informal setting. Students can stop by before or after class to greet members of your firm or organization and pick up firm marketing materials.
Virtual Firm Fridays
Host a casual 30-minute meet-and-greet or presentation session over Zoom. Students can drop in and say hello, meet representatives of your firm or organization, and ask questions. These time slots are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
1L First Impressions Employer Fair
Will take place on August 31, 2026 from 4-5:30 pm. This large fair-style event allows employers and alumni from the legal community to meet our incoming 1Ls.
Networking Fairs
Firm Fest Networking Fair
Hosted at the Law Tower in October and February. Representatives from law firms are invited to set up a table to greet and chat with students in the 1L class.
Government Employer Networking Fair
Hosted at the Law Tower in October. Representatives from government agencies are invited to set up a table to greet and chat with students in all classes.
Public Interest Employer Networking Fair
Hosted at the Law Tower in October. Representatives from public interest firms are invited to set up a table to greet and chat with students in all classes.
Practice Area Preview Information Sessions
Hosted during the spring semester, these classroom-based events allow attorneys to discuss their experiences and offer advice to students interested in a specific area of practice ahead of the summer recruiting process.
