Two-Year LLM

The Two-Year LLM is a rigorous program tailored for ambitious international students and legal professionals seeking success in U.S. law. It blends legal, academic, and language skills crucial for excelling in American law schools. Geared towards globally-minded practitioners, it delves deep into the U.S. legal system, fostering expertise in various legal domains while honing analytical, research, and advocacy skills. Structured over two years, the program mandates completing a minimum of 25 credits in the first year and 24 credits in the second. Offered as a full-time residential program, students can finish in four semesters, commencing in either Fall or Spring.

The program caters to LLM degrees in American Law, Intellectual Property, Banking and Financial Law, Tax Law, and a Master’s in Tax Law for non-lawyers. Enrollment requirements accommodate improving English skills over the first year.

TOEFL: Beginning January 21, 2026, the TOEFL iBT reports scores on a new 1–6 band scale. Applicants to the Two-Year LLM Program must achieve a minimum overall TOEFL score of 4.0, with a minimum of 3.5 on each individual section (Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing). For tests taken before January 21, 2026, applicants must achieve a minimum overall TOEFL score of 85 (0–120 scale). Applicants who achieve a TOEFL score equivalent to 100 or higher are eligible to enroll in bar-tested or tax electives during their first year of study.

IELTS: Applicants must achieve a minimum overall IELTS score of 5.5, with no individual band score below 5.0. Applicants who achieve an overall IELTS score of 7.0 or higher are eligible to enroll in bar-tested or tax electives during their first year of study.
