Safe, Settled and Healthy
“Safe, Settled and Healthy”
to Begin Studies at Boston University
Please be reminded that every student must provide an emergency phone number, must settle their account, and must be in compliance with state immunization requirements each semester. Therefore, Boston University is asking all students, “Are you Safe, Settled and Healthy?” to be sure that everyone is in compliance with state and University rules. What does “Safe, Settled and Healthy” mean?
|Safe||Have you entered/confirmed your BU Alert Phone Number in the Student Link?
This number will be used by the BU Alert system to contact you in emergency situations. You can provide the number by clicking on “Update/Confirmation” of your BU Alert Phone Information in the Address and Phone tab of the Student Link. You are required to update or confirm the number each semester.
|Settled||Have you settled your Student Account? (Have you paid your tuition and fees?) You can check your account information by clicking on the “Money Matters” tab in the Student Link.|
|Healthy||Have you met the Massachusetts state immunization requirements?
You must prove that you have received all vaccinations required by Massachusetts state law. Click here to review the requirements outlined on the Student Health Services web site. Click here to access and complete the appropriate BU Health Form for your program of study.
Students who do not comply with these requirements will not be permitted to register for the following semester.
A special page has been added to the the Student Link so you can check to see if you are in compliance with the Safe, Settled and Healthy requirements. Go to the Student Link, click on “Personal Tab,” then on “Compliance Status” as illustrated below.
