MetroLab Network Civic Research Innovation Prize

New opportunity for BU students! The MetroLab Network—an international collaborative of 28 cities, 6 counties, and 36 universities (including Boston University)—just launched the inaugural MetroLab Network Civic Research Innovation Prize.

MetroLab invites undergraduate and graduate students from MetroLab Network member universities to pitch innovative civic research project ideas in partnership with a community partner. Community partners can be local/county governments, community advocates/organizers, community service providers or others working to improve their communities. The three best pitches, as judged by a panel of local government staff, community partners, and academics from the MetroLab membership, will get $5,000 each in seed funding to support the execution of their idea.

Interested students can attend a virtual briefing/Q&A session about the prize on September 29th at 12:00pm ET. Note that applicants’ Statement of Interest Forms are due to MetroLab on October 14th at 11:59pm ET.

Good luck!
