As cities grow and innovate, preserving historic character while balancing sustainability, affordability, and diversity becomes increasingly challenging. Can cities in New England and beyond use historic preservation as a tool for prosperity and dynamism? How have cities used the past as a launching pad for the future?

The Dynamic City will bring together public, private, and academic leaders to examine these issues and more, featuring keynote addresses from Mayor Joe Anderson of Liverpool, United Kingdom; Mayor Marco Doria of Genoa, Italy; and Maurice Cox, former Mayor of Charlottesville, VA and current Planning Director for the City of Detroit.
