- Alumni must have graduated from a BU degree program to be eligible for membership
- Memberships can be purchased for spouses and dependents (18 & under); primary affiliate must be a member for family to join
- Cancellation Policy – members must cancel prior to the first day of the next calendar month to stop future billing.
Monthly Recurring YOUNG Alumni Plans
If you graduated within the past two years from Boston University you are eligible for our Young Alumni membership rate, saving over 35% off the regular alumni plan!
Full-time student swipe access runs through the end of May (if graduating in May) or through the end of January (if graduating in January – even if you aren’t walking until May). If, when attempting to purchase on or after June 1 you encounter an error message saying you do not have the proper permission on your account, please complete the form at the bottom of this page to request Young Alumni access on your account. Once this access is added you will be able to purchase the Young Alumni membership. Please note this membership type is available for two years from a person’s first graduation date. Further degree attainment/graduations do not reset eligibility.
This is a monthly membership. Memberships renew on the first calendar day of each month. Membership must be cancelled prior to the first calendar day of the next month to stop future billing.

1Initial purchase cost will be equal to a prorated amount based on number of days remaining in the calendar month, plus $20 initiation fee. Certain members who do not possess a BUID or a FitRec ID may also need to purchase a FitRec ID at the cost of $10. Membership will renew on the first day of each calendar month at the full monthly amount of $49.95 for primary members, $36.95 for spouse members, and $16.95 for dependent members.
2Any primary Young Alumni member who no longer has their BUID would need to purchase a FitRec ID. Spouse members and dependent members 16 years of age or older are required to purchase a FitRec ID.

Annual Recurring memberships have no initiation fee and represent a roughly 20% savings over the cost of monthly membership. Annual Recurring plans also include access to Drop-In classes. This membership automatically renews every July 1 until cancelled. The Annual Recurring membership option is available during open enrollment periods only.

6-Month Recurring Alumni Plans
6-Month recurring memberships have no initiation fee and represent a roughly 15% savings over the cost of monthly membership. 6-month recurring plans also include access to Drop-In classes. This membership automatically renews every July 1 and January 1 until cancelled. The 6-Month Recurring membership option is available during open enrollment periods only.

Young Alumni
Young Alumni membership is available to those within 2 years of their graduation date. Most all spring 2026 graduates will have their Young Alumni status uploaded into our system automatically in May (full-time status runs through the final day of May). If on or after May 1, you attempt to purchase a Young Alumni membership but receive an error message, please complete the form below and we'll reach out to confirm your membership eligibility.
