Cities are where many of the world’s most pressing questions and opportunities intersect. For BU researchers in the Urban H project—experts in fields as diverse as political science, public health, engineering, and earth & environment—addressing the challenges of housing, heat, and health in cities is critical to finding solutions to urban livability and resilience. To find actionable answers, convergent research like this must draw on knowledge from across the University, from areas studying climate change, infrastructure, civic life, policy, engineering, social sciences, and more. By working across these disciplines, our researchers are discovering how we all can address the interconnected challenges facing cities around the world.
