Boston University is recruiting faculty across three ambitious cluster hire areas focused on complex societal challenges that cannot be addressed by any one discipline alone.
These searches are part of a new, University-wide approach to convergent research at BU, designed to create the conditions for ideas, disciplines, and people to come together in ways that traditional academic structures often do not. Faculty will have homes within departments while joining a broader network of scholars connected by shared research challenges—creating new opportunities to pursue ambitious questions, build unexpected collaborations, and help define emerging areas of research.
We are seeking intellectually fearless scholars who are eager to be part of this work—building new collaborations, opening new avenues of inquiry, advancing discovery, and shaping new directions for research at BU.
