Description: This is a wonderful opportunity for selected graduate and undergraduate students interested in working with their peers and supporting their learning. Writing Fellows provide one-on-one assistance to undergraduate and graduate student writers at any stage of the writing process — from brainstorming and outlining to rough drafts and final drafts — and help them address writing issues such as grammar, structure, voice, and clarity.

Writing Fellows meet for one hour per week for mandatory training. In addition, Writing Fellows conduct workshops on writing topics and conduct outreach on behalf of the Center. Professors can request classroom visits from Writing Fellows to assist with in-class workshops.

Stipend: Graduate COM Writing Fellows receive $23.50 an hour in return for 10 hours of work per week. Please note that this appointment is for the fall 2026 semester and is renewable for the spring 2027 semester based on performance.
