About Yi Grace Ji
Yi Grace Ji, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the College of Communication at Boston University. Ji’s background is primarily in strategic communication research and consulting. Her research interests include social media-based stakeholder engagement, corporate social responsibility and advocacy, and entrepreneurial communication. Her research has been published in communication, public relations, and advertising journals, including Computers in Human Behavior, Journal of Advertising, Journal of Public Relations Research, Public Relations Review, International Journal of Business Communication, International Journal of Strategic Communication, among others, and as book chapters. Her co-authored book, Strategic Communications for Startups and Entrepreneurs in China, was published by Routledge in 2020. Ji received over 10 top paper and research awards and recognitions from national and international communication associations and conferences. Ji was named Page Legacy Scholar twice by the Arthur W. Page Center for Integrity in Public Communication. She is the advisory committee member of the International Public Relations Research Conference (IPRRC). Prior to BU, Dr. Ji was an assistant professor of public relations at Virginia Commonwealth University. She has taught public relations research, strategies, and analytics at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Ji received her Ph.D. in Communication and M.A. in Public Relations from the University of Miami.
