Susan Kaplan Carlton, a longtime magazine writer and editor, has written about health, wellness, the arts, and style for Self, Elle, Mademoiselle, Good Housekeeping, the Boston Globe, and others. She has worked with advertising and PR clients in beauty, food, and design. Carlton has also written several award-winning young adult novels rooted in reporting. Her latest, In the Neighborhood of True (Algonquin/Little Brown, 2019), was named a Best Book of the Year by Amazon.
