About Hayes Jackson

Hayes Jackson is an award-winning screenwriter and television producer. He has over twenty-five years of experience in the entertainment industry. After receiving two Primetime Emmy nominations for his work on Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher, Hayes began working in situation comedy. His first comedy was on Murphy Brown, and then on long-running-hits Mad About You and According to Jim. Hayes’s other staff writing credits include 8 Simple Rules, The Bill Engvall Show, Lab Rats and Henry Danger. Hayes has written in a wide variety of genres, including drama, comedy, animation, family and late night programming. His work has appeared on broadcast, cable and streaming networks. He has sold pilots to ABC, CBS, Fox, TBS and Disney XD. Most recently, Hayes wrote a single-camera sitcom pilot for HBO and staffed on the Netflix show Brews Brothers. Hayes’s feature film experience includes writing a script for Gold Circle Films and dozens of punch-up assignments. Outside of Hollywood, Hayes has consulted on a science fiction video game for Electronic Arts and worked as a speechwriter for several national political campaigns. His written work has appeared in the Los Angeles Times, Humanities, Golf Magazine, and GQ.
