About Anissa Martínez

Anissa Martínez encapsulates both hemispheres, on one side her engineering major which allows her to approach the world holistically, while on the other, her passion and love for design that invites new opportunities for creativity and innovation. Her work captures the good and the bad, love and it’s flaws, all with a touch of poetry. Anissa has written over 20 poems which embody relationships, growth and family. Most recently, she collaborated with Kính Vu and André de Quadros on their book publication by designing their graphics which emulate topics like racism, deportation and displacement..

Anissa’s motto is “be on time, be hungry but stay humble” and she resonates with it through her work aesthetic. As of now, she is part of the Communications Department as a Lecturer and she can’t wait to teach and show her students new ways of viewing of design by mentoring and showing them that it goes beyond.

Finally, Anissa has worked in retail, construction and education industries by designing branding campaigns for clients such as Cemex, Giorgio Armani, ITESM and Boston University.
