Students who submit a CO575 form during or after Summer 2025 are required to complete the COM Core Division’s CO 575 End-of-Semester Survey to fulfill COM’s Professional Experience Requirement. 

Before tackling the end-of-term survey, students must officially register for CO575 by completing the CO575 form.

What can students expect from this survey? 

First, at the conclusion of their professional activity, students who submit a CO 575 form must answers the brief prompts included in this form. The first half of prompts ask for basic personal information such as name, BU ID, email address, major, and similar details.

This form requires students to share a one-page summary (roughly 250-500 words) of their CO 575 experience. This summary should be distinct from, and more detailed than, the information provided in the “explanation” section of your CO 575 form. More specifically, your summary should include a list of your main communication duties, the major takeaways from your professional experience, and a reflection on how your responsibilities connect back to your COM coursework and your larger career goals. 

The deadline to submit a reflection is no later than one week before the final day of classes for the semester in which you are earning CO 575 credit.

Spring 2026 Survey Deadline: April 23rd, 2026

Summer 2026 Survey Deadline: July 31st, 2026

Fall 2026 Survey Deadline: December 3rd, 2026

Failure to submit your end-of-term summary will result in a W being added for CO 575 and no credit for the experience being awarded.

NOTE: Students who are receiving CO 575 credit via one of the pre-approved courses below DO NOT NEED TO SUBMIT THIS SURVEY in order to fulfill COM’s Professional Experience Requirement.
