False or inaccurate information can influence how the public responds to health issues and reduce the effectiveness of public health measures. To help ensure a successful response to public health crises like outbreaks and pandemics, we need a better understanding of how misinformation unfolds, how it affects public perception, and how to craft better messaging to influence behavior. At this Research on Tap, BU faculty across a broad range of disciplines, including computer science, communication, and public health, will present their research to better understand and mitigate health misinformation.
Presenting at event include COM faculty: Michelle Amazeen, Chris Chao Su, Traci Hong, James Katz and Arunima Krishna.
