Cinematheque: An Evening with Sheila Lawrence

GSU Auditorium

Sheila Lawrence is a prolific writer in both comedy and drama, but she most enjoys the intersection of those genres, penning half-hour comedy with heart. She was part of the creative team behind such shows as GILMORE GIRLS, UGLY BETTY, and THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL. Her other credits include DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES for ABC, LOVE, VICTOR for Hulu, HART OF DIXIE for the CW, and most recently ONE NIGHT for Amazon and Starz. Her work has earned her multiple Peabodys and Writers’ Guild Awards, as well as an Emmy and a Golden Globe. Though far from an EGOT, she is quite happy to be an EGG.
