Online Only:

How do you handle a PR crisis (*cough* Oscars *cough*)? How can you build community when you’re working remotely? Tips for seriously rocking a job interview? Uh… what’s the deal with the metaverse…?

What do all these questions have in common? Nothing! And that’s the point. This is NOT just another webinar, it’s a roll-up-our-sleeves working session all about YOU.

Join us on BU Connects for this unstructured and free-form “Ask Me Anything” event with alumni extraordinaire Sabrina Horn (COM’85) and Anthony Harrison (COM’81), where you can ask whatever’s on your mind about interviews, work/life balance, industry evolutions, how to get the most out of being a Terrier, and much more. Come with questions or sit back and listen to some keen insights, observations, and the occasional bit of randomness.

About our special guests:

Anthony Harrison (COM’81), Senior Director, Public Relations at Anaplan & BU Alumni Council President

Anthony is passionate about the power of words. He loves a well-turned phrase and the impact of a powerful story. That is what brought him to public relations over 20 years ago. A graduate of Boston University’s College of Communications, Anthony’s career is built on telling powerful and compelling stories about everything from telephones (Verizon) to lattes (Starbucks) to Mickey Mouse (Disney); from the paper of record (The NY Times) and the world’s best-known software, (Microsoft) and, the largest social network on the planet (Facebook). He currently leads global communications for business-to-business software company, Anaplan.

Anthony prides himself on finding and telling stories that engage people and change their opinions. Stories that build or renew a reputation. He thrives on making those around him better than they were when he met them. And in turn, let them make him better. He works hard and laughs harder. He has ridden his bike from San Francisco to Los Angeles, handled balloons in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade, and doesn’t take himself too seriously.
