COM Public Relations Program Makes A-List Again

Boston University’s College of Communication was honored as one of the 20 best schools for public relations – and the only one in New England — on PRNEWS’ 2024 Education A-List.
“The Education A-List supports our view that PR and communications programs provide additional, high-quality training for professionals in the industry,” says Kaylee Hultgren, content director for PRNEWS. “Moreover, their continued evolution—through both a content and technological perspective—keeps apace with the real-world companies, organizations and new trends and specialties that are driving the industry forward.”
COM has earned a spot on the Education A-List every year since the inaugural list in 2021.
“Here at BU COM, we pride ourselves in providing our students with a public relations education that combines career-readiness with a robust understanding of the research and critical thinking that underpins public relations practice,” says COM Associate Professor Arunima Krishna. “Our high-caliber students learn from internationally renowned scholars and industry leaders and have access to exceptional real-world professional experiences through internships, student-run agencies and clubs, as well as dedicated faculty and staff to propel them to a successful career in public relations.”
In 1947, Boston University was the first to offer a university-level degree in public relations. In 1974, the first and longest-operating student-run public relations agency, PRLab, was created in the college.
