Request an application fee waiver
We believe cost shouldn’t be a barrier to exploring graduate school.
Many prospective students qualify for an application fee waiver. You may be one of them.
You may qualify if you are:
A COM Event Attendee
- Attended a COM info session, webinar, conference, or recruitment event
- Visited COM for an Open House, Visit Day, or campus tour
- Received a fee waiver code from a COM faculty or staff member
Affiliated with Boston University
- Current BU employee
- Current BU student
- BU alum who graduated in the past two years
Military Service Members and Veterans
- Active-duty member of the U.S. Armed Forces
- U.S. military veteran with an honorable discharge
Students with Financial Need
- Undergraduate Pell recipient
- Experiencing documented financial hardship or extenuating financial circumstances
First-Generation College Students
- Neither parent nor grandparent earned a four-year degree
Students from Consortium Institutions
- Boston College
- Brandeis University
- Tufts University
Students and Alumni of Minority-Serving Institutions
- Asian American Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institutions (AANAPISIs)
- Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs)

Organizations not listed above may be considered if they:
- Align with COM’s commitment to access, opportunity, and inclusion
- Operate across multiple colleges or universities
How to request a fee waiver
Submit the fee waiver request form before submitting your application. Application fees that have already been paid cannot be refunded.
Please allow up to five business days for our team to review your request and send a fee waiver code. If additional documentation is needed, we’ll contact you directly.
