About Hong Ko

As an internationally acclaimed Creative Director and Designer with a hybrid skill set spanning Digital Advertising, User Experience, Product Design, and Brand Innovation—originating in Visual Design and shaping 25+ years of cross-disciplinary practice—Hong has collaborated with global brands and top-tier agencies across diverse industries. His client roster includes Nike, Samsung, Tiffany & Co., Verizon, Mastercard, Fidelity, Barnes & Noble, Flextronics, Anheuser-Busch InBev, Audible, Toyota, Aoki Group, and, most recently, Uniqlo.

A strategic thinker and hands-on maker, Hong remains a designer at heart. His work has earned recognition from leading industry competitions, including a Mobile Lion Silver at the Cannes International Festival of Creativity. He’s also been actively contributing to design conferences and art & design exhibitions in the USA, Japan, and South Korea.

Actively engaged in design and advertising education, Hong joined Boston University’s College of Communication after serving as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Communication Design at Texas State University. He has taught at Miami Ad School, served as a guest critic at Yale University and LaSalle College of the Arts in Singapore, and spoken at numerous worldwide design and advertising events. Since 2014, he has also been an Adjunct Faculty member in the BFA Design & Advertising program at New York’s School of Visual Arts.
