Instrumentation (Walkup and Service-Based)

We offer several pieces of analytical and synthesis instrumentation for use by both Boston University and external researchers.

Note: As of 10/1/20 the chiral analytical HPLC is no longer supported by the BU-CMD Analytical Core or offered as a service. The BU-CMD HPLC remains available for use on a walkup basis for BU users only with limited support from BU-CMD staff.

*”Off-peak” internal UPLC rates of $2/sample are available for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday UPLC Night Queues (10pm-8am). To access these rates, there is a 50 sample minimum, samples must be prepared and run on a 384-well plate, the user must be able to replenish solvents the day-of or next day, and additional special advanced training is required. Purification & Curation Services

We offer state of the art, high-throughput compound purification and sample management to synthetic chemists. The Analytical Core is able to assist chemists with purifying, analyzing, curating and distributing small molecules intended for use in biological assays.
