Visiting Scholar, National Chengchi University

Dr. Jen-Hao Chen is a Professor of Sociology and holds the Yushan Young Faculty Fellow at National Chengchi University (NCCU), Taiwan. As a quantitative sociologist and social demographer, his research explores the intricate ways in which family dynamics, social relationships, and experiences of marginalization influence health and well-being over the life course. His work has appeared in numerous journals, such as American Journal of Preventive Medicine, Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health, Journal of Gerontology: Social Sciences, Journal of Gerontology: Medical Sciences, Journal of Health and Social Behavior, and Social Science and Medicine. Before joining NCCU, he was the Henry Rutgers Term Chair in Health Sciences at Rutgers University. During his visit at the Center for Innovation in Social Science, he will be working with Professor Deborah Carr  a professor of sociology on a project concerning the dynamics of social connectedness over the life course.
