Andrea Beltran-Lizarazo is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Sociology. She studies the extraterritorial expansion of American penal power. As a case study, she focuses on Colombia, the main country of origin for extraditions to the U.S. To learn more about Beltran-Lizarazo’s research and publications, visit her webpage.
In Spring 2024, Andrea received a CISS Summer mini-grant to support the creation of a novel database of extradition cases from Colombia to the United States.
