RESEARCH ON TAP: The Framingham Heart Study -Three Generations, 78 Years of Data, 15,000 Participants, 2 Million Biosamples, and More to Discover

  • Starts: 4:00 pm on Thursday, April 9, 2026
  • Ends: 6:00 pm on Thursday, April 9, 2026
This Research on Tap event will highlight the enduring impact of the Framingham Heart Study, the landmark longitudinal study that has reshaped our understanding of cardiovascular disease and continues to drive discoveries across a wide range of health conditions. This gathering will explore how decades of rigorous population-based research have led not only to breakthroughs in heart disease and stroke, but also to transformative insights into conditions such as cognitive decline, dementia, osteoporosis, arthritis, obesity, cancer, kidney and lung health, and even eye and hearing disorders. Attendees will learn how the Framingham Heart Study evolved from a pioneering effort to uncover the causes of cardiovascular disease into a network of studies involving more than 15,000 participants, and how its collaborative model continues to fuel discovery. Join us to explore new opportunities for interdisciplinary partnership and to learn more about the scientific advances made possible through this long-standing research enterprise.
