Urban Inequalities Fall '25 Workshop: Pathways of Neighborhood Socioeconomic Change in the U.S
- Starts: 12:00 pm on Monday, December 1, 2025
- Ends: 1:00 pm on Monday, December 1, 2025
The Urban Inequalities workshop is a doctoral workshop hosted and sponsored by BU’s Initiative on Cities, with support from
the Department of Sociology, and led by Professor Japonica Brown-Saracino. We invite faculty, graduate students, and
postdocs to explore the issues of urban inequality from different disciplinary, methodological, and theoretical angles.
Before each meeting, a working paper is circulated for participants to read. At the workshop, the author will offer a short
presentation of 10-20 minutes providing background information about their work, with the rest of the session devoted to
feedback and conversation.
For more information, please contact the workshop’s graduate student coordinator Andrew Ward at amward@bu.edu.
The workshop is directed by Professor Japonica Brown-Saracino (japonica@bu.edu).
