Pay It Forward: Share Your Successful Book or Grant Proposal with Emerging Scholars
Writing a book proposal, grant proposal, or any other major document can be a daunting goal. If you have written a successful book proposal, grant proposal, letter of intent, or even a dissertation proposal that you are willing to share with other scholars, please consider sharing it with a new depository at CISS. This password-protected site will be an invaluable resource for graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, assistant professors and even senior faculty who are pursuing new professional goals.
Please email your document to Shannon Landis, Center Administrator (ciss@bu.edu) for inclusion in the archive. We would also appreciate a brief (one-paragraph) contextualization – such as why you chose a particular press or funding organization, whether you used an agent to obtain a book contract, or other details to help emerging scholars make well-informed professional decisions. The Office of Research maintains a very helpful Proposal Library, although both they and CISS are always eager for more examples to meet the diverse needs of scholars.
